BCS Reunification Drill (Hollyrood and Fernwood)
From Principal Ferraro: Last June we ran a Reunification Drill at both campuses to work on our systems for reuniting families in the case of a catastrophic event during the school day. Everything went very smoothly given the fact that it was our first time. We are going to begin doing these on a yearly basis so that we can continue to improve and so that all parents have an opportunity to practice what to do.
This year we are going to do it some time the afternoon of the Fun Run on September 26. As last year, I will send a message out via text and email to parents that the event has begun. It IS NOT a requirement that you pick up your child. All students still here at dismissal time will be dismissed to their normal after school locations.
The Parent Safety Committee has a couple of requests this year:
Please do not start coming to the school until you get the notification.
You do not need to take time off from work to pick up your child. If you can, work with other parents or neighbors to have your child picked up.
Please remember to have photo ID in order to pick up your child(ren).
Please make sure that you are able to login to ParentVue (this can be found on the BCS website). If you are unable to do so, please contact the secretary at your respective campus.
Once you are able to login to ParentVue, make sure that the people you want to pick up your child are listed under Emergency Contacts. If not, then again, contact your campus secretary to have them added.More information about the 9/26/19 Reunification Drill can be found here
