Hello Beverly Cleary families,
The next couple of weeks are busy! We hope you can find some time to participate in the upcoming events, starting with a very important PTA meeting tonight. Your input is critical - we'll be discussing the draft budget for the 23/24 school year, as well as voting on the slate of board officers for the upcoming year. Join us in the Cafetorium at 7pm, or on Zoom at this link. As always, thank you for your participation in this important work for our school.

Nico's Cantina Fundraiser Is Tomorrow!

You won’t want to miss our final dine-out fundraiser of the school year… Beverly Cleary School PTA and Nico's Cantina join forces for a night of fundraising and good food! 10% of the day's sales will be donated to the BCS PTA, on . So come down and fill your stomach and leave with a happy heart knowing your enjoyment is helping our beloved school.
PTA Info Open House This Thursday *NEW*
This Thursday, May 18 come enjoy some snacks and drinks and learn more about the BCS PTA. Drop-in anytime between 6pm and 8pm (3237 NE Schuyler St.) to hear more about the school programs the BCS PTA supports and the many ways you can get involved. Give a little time and make a huge impact on our school community.

Browse student art and enjoy live music. Family and friends welcome! Enter to win door prizes to benefit the Oregon Humane Society. Contact Sue Malin for details or to volunteer.
BCS Foundation Fundraising Event & Online Auction *NEW*
The Beverly Cleary School Foundation is holding a Spring Fundraising Event and Online Auction. Tickets are on sale now at bcsauction.org. In-kind donations for the auction/raffle can also be made at our website.
Adults in the BCS community are invited to attend our 90's inspired celebration and/or participate in the online auction. More information is available at bcsauction.org.
The BCS Foundation is a separate entity from the PTA and specifically raises funds for staffing at BCS and for the PPS Parent Equity Fund. All funds raised at this event will go towards the 2023-2024 school year staffing budget, and 33% of funds raised over the first $10,000 will go to the PPS Parent Equity Fund. If you have questions about this event or local school foundations in PPS, please email bcsfoundation@beverlyclearyschool.org.
BCS in the Junior Rose Parade 6/7
Join the BCS community's Jr Rose Parade entry in one of two ways: (1) Walk with your BCS family or friends. (2) Organize your BCS class, club, sports team, OBOB team, scout troop, or other group to walk together. Bring adults: All K-5 students, K-5 groups, and MS groups must bring their own trusted adults to keep track of their group at all times. Individual middle school students may walk alone, with a permission slip. (The PTA and BCS are not able to keep track of kids during the event.) See our BCS Junior Rose Parade page for more details.
Please email submissions to president@beverlyclearyschool.org by noon on Monday for inclusion in the newsletter. Please note: from time to time the PTA may promote resources or opportunities provided by organizations outside the PTA. The PTA is not affiliated with nor does it endorse these organizations.
