Tonight is the night for Sparky's pizza! 10% of sales from all three locations will be donated to our PTA. Also, don't forget Fun Run pledge sheets are due this week. Your student can turn it in to their teacher. Prizes will be distributed soon! Read on for more news you can use.

PTA General Meeting next week 10/18
All BCS adult community members are welcome. Among other topics, during this meeting we will vote on our 22/23 budget and discuss our upcoming community-building event, Spookarama. We'll also welcome our school counselors for a special townhall style session. Get your child development questions ready! The counselors have questions for you as well.

Spookarama Needs YOU!
It's been incredible to watch volunteers emerge from the community the day after announcing the date, thank you all so much!
We need a robust volunteer corps to bring back this beloved tradition. Parents, grandparents and family friends can all volunteer, as long as they complete background checks through the PPS volunteer system. We are actively searching for class games, clean up, and security lead volunteers. Sign up here or reach out to volunteer@beverlyclearyschool.
Spookarama includes carnival games, entertainment, prizes, an amazing haunted house... and more! Win a cake from Musical Scares, conquer a game at the carnival, and show off your costumes - your kids won’t want to miss it.
We’ll have The Blind Onion pizza for sale along with canned soft drinks. Salads, snacks, and treats will also be available for purchase.

Volunteer at the PPS Clothing Closet
BCS is scheduled to staff the PPS Clothing Closet on Monday, October 24th, 9:30am-1:30pm at the Marshall (Benson HS) campus. Duties include helping to organize and stock clothing and helping families shop for clothing. This is a fun and rewarding volunteer experience that allows you to meet parents and students from other PPS schools. Sign up here.
PAT (Portland Association of Teachers) seeks to connect with PPS families
PAT is hosting a Community Drive Thru Event at the PAT Office (345 NE 8th Ave) on Saturday, October 15 @ 12:00-2:00 PM. Community members and parents can get info about PAT and ask questions as well as free yard signs, temporary tattoos, and a chance to spin the wheel for swag! Mr. Tabshy is the PAT representative for the BCS community.
