Spirit Week | Week of November 17!

Get ready to show your school spirit! Spirit Week kicks off the week of November 17, and it’s going to be a fun one. Check out the flyer below for all the details.

Here’s what each day looks like:

• Monday: PJ Day – Roll out of bed and come cozy!
• Tuesday: Sports Day – Rep your favorite team or sport.
• Wednesday: Neon Day – Bright colors only - let’s light up the halls!
• Thursday: Twin Day – Grab a friend (or a few!) and match outfits.
• Friday: College Day – Show off your favorite college gear.

Let’s make it a week full of fun, color, and school pride!

Sparky's Fundraiser | November 18!

Sparky’s Pizza Fundraiser Night is Tuesday, November 18! Join us from 4 to 9 pm at either Sparky’s Pizza location - Brazee (2434 NE MLK Jr. Blvd) or Lombard (7530 NE MLK Jr. Blvd) - and support the Beverly Cleary School PTA! 10% of ALL sales during the fundraiser will be donated back to our school community.

Teacher Appreciation Conference Dinner | November 24! *NEW*

Mark your calendars! Let's treat BCS teachers as the souper-heroes they are and continue the tradition of a PTA Soup Potluck for teachers during Teacher Conferences this year.

• What: Help the BCS PTA set up a cozy soup bar for teachers on the first day of parent-teacher conferences. Volunteers will bring soup, bread, salads, desserts, and refreshments, while other volunteers will help with setup. They will then pack leftovers on Monday evening. No contribution is too small! Sign up for volunteer slots using the link below.
• When: Bring your contribution to the school Library on Monday, November 24th, between 3:30 and 4:00 pm. Volunteer slots for setup and cleanup are also available on Monday afternoon and evening.
• Where: Beverly Cleary School Library.
• Why: Warm the hearts (and bellies) of our souper-hero teachers during the big lift that is Fall Conferences! In previous years, this has been a big hit with teachers!

Help Plan Heritage Night
*NEW*

Our community is full of families from many different backgrounds, all with a heritage and culture to share.

On Thursday, February 26, the PTA will host Heritage Night, a time for families to come together to share their culture with our school community. Families will be invited to share the music, art, games, food, and traditions that are important to them.

We need volunteers to help plan the night. There is a solid plan from last year’s event, so the time commitment is minimal: two to three planning meetings, with the first meeting in December.

It’s time to dig out those adorable baby photos! Help us celebrate the Class of 2026 by sharing your student’s baby picture for the 2025-2026 yearbook. Capture this school year’s memories with the 2025 yearbook, now available at the early bird price of $22 through Winter Break (12/19/25). After that date, the price will increase to $30.

This year’s edition will be a more compact version, with fewer pages of classroom and activity coverage. With fewer volunteers available to support the Yearbook Club, we’ve scaled back the number of pages, and the price reflects this smaller format.
