VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Seeking PTA Board Nominating Committee Members for Next Year!
Help identify next year’s PTA board nominees through this essential committee. Committee members can work at their convenience to build the slate and must be PTA members this year. You can participate regardless of interest in a board position yourself. Reach out to Kelsi Roberts, membership@beverlyclearyschool.org, to learn more or to volunteer.
Volunteer with the PTA Clothing Center April 3rd.
Thursday, April 3rd is Beverly Cleary's day to send 5-6 volunteers to the PTA Clothing Center at Marshall Campus. We need volunteers to represent our BCS community from from 9:30am -1:30pm. Volunteers will help PPS students receive clothing, and help sort donations. Volunteers can be any BCS adult community members including parents and grandparents.
Each PPS school is responsible for sending volunteers two times during the school year to assist students in receiving clothing and shoes.
We are excited to be able to have families come to shop for their students. This past school year, we assisted nearly 1,400 PPS Students! And logged over 2,800 volunteer hours.
Please email communications@beverlyclearyschool.org to volunteer.
BCS PTA Welcome Crew Needs You!
This year, we’ve seen some new faces around BCS, many joining post kindergarten. Some of our new families are now members of the PTA and have shared how hard it can be to feel connected in the beginning. We believe there is a need to identify families to serve as a touchstone for incoming families outside of kindergarten.
Could you join our Welcome Crew? Email membership@beverlyclearyschool.org to confirm your interest.
Welcome Crew may be matched with a new family, and asked to:
- Say hello and share your contact info
- Offer helpful tips
- Plan to meet in person at pick up / drop off or other
- Plan to meet up at the first BCS event so friendly faces are present
- Answer/redirect questions
As part of bringing new families into our community, we are also so fortunate to have so many amazing languages represented (Currently 11)!
Do you have a working knowledge of languages other than English, and would you be willing to use those skills to help include families new to BCS? If so, let us know! This year at BCS, we have 11 different primary languages spoken at home: Dutch/Flemish, Afrikaans, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese, and English
Thank you for helping to welcome new faces to BCS!

OBOB 2026
