Thanks for your interest in volunteering. Please note that for most events (unless otherwise noted) volunteers must have a completed background check and should sign in at the office. Background checks must be resubmitted every three years.

  Outdoor Lunch Volunteers at Hollyrood and Fernwood

We need parent volunteers who are vaccinated to help monitor lunch time. Please sign up separately for each week.

Past Opportunities

 Art Supply Assembly Help

Friday, August 27th from 11:30am-1pm

Sign up to help Ms. Date and Ms. Tanner assemble art supply bags for students! Volunteers will be outdoors, socially distanced and masked.

  Community Care Day

Saturday, August 28th

Project Community Care is an annual PPS tradition and a wonderful opportunity to help beautify our school grounds at the start of the school year. Volunteers assist with outdoor projects, such as weeding and spreading mulch. Community Care Day will take place on Saturday, August 28th 2021 from 9am-12pm at Fernwood and from 10am-12pm at Hollyrood. (NO BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED.)

Can you help out with picture day on Wednesday, October 13th? We need one volunteer at Hollyrood and three at Fernwood.

  Chromebook Distribution

Thursday, November 4th

We need 8 volunteers to help with Chromebook distribution at Fernwood.

  Ruby Bridges Walk to School Corner Greeters

Wednesday, November 17th

BCS PTA is partnering with Safe Routes to School to honor Ruby Bridge’s courage, and elevate the important role she played in the civil rights movement just 60 years ago. Learn more about the day on our website here. We are looking for corner greeters near both campuses to greet BCS students on their walk to school.
