About our PTA
The Beverly Cleary School Parent Teacher Association is a non profit, volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, administrators and community members. Our PTA strives to provide a sense of extended community and to support the school, teachers, parents and each individual child. The BCS PTA sponsors classroom projects and community events during the year and has many year-long projects including the PTA Reading Challenge, Passport Club, Oregon Battle of the Books, Teacher Appreciation Week, Principal Coffee Talks, a school-wide family directory and this website. The BCS PTA also provides volunteer support for lunch and recess duty, room parents, garden support and special events.
The BCS PTA funds its programs through various school-based activities. The main fundraisers include the selling of SCRIP and merchant programs (year-long), Spookarama and Fun Run. Periodically, we will have other fundraising events for specific purposes.
We hope that every parent with children at BCS will join our PTA. Each child benefits from the programs and services of our organization. It is through your memberships, volunteer hours, and overall participation in your student’s education that we achieve success together.
