First Bike Bus: Wednesday, 9/3!

Join the kickoff Bike Bus ride of the 2025-2026 school year on September 3rd! Meet at 8:10 am at NE 34th and Stanton, or join in anywhere along our Bike Bus route. Don't forget to wear a helmet and bring a bike lock.

General PTA Meeting: Monday, 9/8 at 7 pm

Join us for the first PTA general meeting of the year! We have several business items on the agenda and look forward to welcoming new faces to the board. Whether this is your first PTA meeting or your 50th, we'd love to have you there.

Ice Cream Social: Wednesday, 9/10 at 5:30pm *CORRECTED DATE*

Join your fellow BCS families at our annual Ice Cream Social at the playground behind BCS.

The PTA will be serving chocolate and vanilla ice cream, as well as dairy-free vanilla ice cream. Toppings will be fudge sauce, sprinkles, and whipped cream! For those with sensory processing challenges or who struggle with waiting in line, we will have Otter Pops available at a separate table with a pink balloon.

Heads up for parents! There is usually a big turnout for this event, so expect lots of families, lots of noise, and lots of sticky faces! 

ALL KIDS MUST HAVE A PARENT PRESENT AT THIS EVENT!

After-School Enrichments 

BCS fall after-school classes are open for registration! They include arts, languages, music, movement, Lego, and more. Scholarships are available.

A Message from the PTA Fundraising Chair

The BCS PTA supports many of our beloved community activities, including after-school enrichment scholarships, teacher grants, an Ice cream social, Spookorama, OBOB, Teacher appreciation events, 8th-grade graduation, and much more! We have aspirations to refine our refreshed events from last year and continue to support our wonderful BCS community by making involvement easy and enjoyable. Our kids are only in K-8 for a short period, and participating in their PTA supports them as well as their amazing teachers, all while providing you with a wonderful community you can feel a part of. Please consider joining our PTA community to FUNdraise by participating in one or all of these opportunities:

• Direct Donation: $100 per child would cover our 25/26 fundraising goal
• Corporate Match: check with your employer about match programs
• Become a PTA Member: $25 to join and/or lend your voice to PTA meetings
• Monthly Dine Out Opportunities: Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Killer Burger-Russell Street location; Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Hi Top.
• Bottle Drop and Merchant Programs: See Bottle Drop or Fred Meyer Rewards & Powell's Purchases for more info
• Fun Run Participation: The switch to the spring for the Fun Run fundraiser last year was received with great enthusiasm and surpassed our fundraising goal. This year, it will take place again in the spring, with a date to be announced in the coming months.
• Trail Blazers Game Night: We are hoping to secure another Trail Blazers game opportunity for the winter, with a date to be announced soon.
• Lastly, although fundraising is critical to making our PTA programming happen, a monetary donation is not the only way you can participate. Please consider supporting us by volunteering and/or sharing your ideas. Don't hesitate to reach out!

Spookarama: Seeking Volunteers

We’re looking for enthusiastic leads to help make this year’s Spookarama Carnival a success! Opportunities are available in the following areas:

• Volunteer Coordination
• Food
• Games
• Clean-Up
• Security
• Treat Trot

OBOB: Lead Volunteer Needed

To continue the OBOB tradition, we are seeking new leadership for next year's event. There are great systems in place that the past leaders are happy to pass off. If you are interested, please send an email to communications@beverlyclearyschool.org.

Join the PTA Parent Portal

The PTA is inviting (and asking) new families to sign up for a free account on our website. An account will give you:

• access to and inclusion in the school directory,
• access to volunteer sign-up forms,
• and configuration of your student(s) fundraising pages for the Fun Run

Joining the PTA is optional after this, but we welcome that, too!
