General PTA Meeting: Monday, 9/8 at 7 pm

Join us for the first PTA general meeting of the year! We have several business items on the agenda and look forward to welcoming new faces to the board. Whether this is your first PTA meeting or your 50th, we'd love to have you there.

Ice Cream Social: Wednesday, 9/10 at 5:30 pm

Join your fellow BCS families at our annual Ice Cream Social at the playground behind BCS.

The PTA will be serving chocolate and vanilla ice cream, as well as dairy-free vanilla ice cream. Toppings will be fudge sauce, sprinkles, and whipped cream! For those with sensory processing challenges or who struggle with waiting in line, we will have Otter Pops available at a separate table, marked by a pink balloon.

Heads up for parents! There is usually a big turnout for this event, so expect lots of families, lots of noise, and lots of sticky faces! 

ALL KIDS MUST HAVE A PARENT PRESENT AT THIS EVENT!

Killer Burger Fundraising Event: 9/17 5 pm to close

Take a night off from cooking and head to Killer Burger! Killer Burger on Russel Street will donate 20% of proceeds to the BCS PTA from 5 pm until close. Dine-in or take out. For online orders, use code: KBBC20.

PTA Clothing Center Volunteer Opportunity:
Monday, 9/29, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*

Each year, every PPS school PTA is asked to provide volunteers twice to support the PTA Clothing Center—a vital district-wide service that helps PPS families access clothing and shoes for their students. Beverly Cleary’s volunteer day is coming up, and we’re looking for 5–6 volunteers to lend a hand! Volunteers will help students find clothing and assist with sorting donations. Parents, grandparents, and community members are all welcome.

Last school year alone, the PTA Clothing Center served nearly 1,500 PPS students, making a powerful impact possible thanks to people like you. If you’re able to help, please email

Spookarama 
*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*

We’re looking for enthusiastic leads to help make this year’s Spookarama Carnival a success! Opportunities are available in the following areas:

• Volunteer Coordination
• Food
• Games
• Clean-Up
• Security
• Treat Trot
• Party Favor Donations (see details below)

OBOB
*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*

To continue the OBOB tradition, we are seeking new leadership for next year's event. There are great systems in place that the past leaders are happy to pass off. If you are interested, please send an email to communications@beverlyclearyschool.org.

After-School Enrichments 

BCS fall after-school classes are open for registration! They include arts, languages, music, movement, Lego, and more. Scholarships are available.

The PTA is inviting (and asking) new families to sign up for a free account on our website. An account will give you:

• Access to and inclusion in the school directory,
• access to volunteer sign-up forms,
• and configuration of your student(s) fundraising pages for the Fun Run
