Let’s CELEBRATE our BCS Staff *NEW*
Do you love party planning and event organizing? Do you have some special gifts of self to share with BCS Staff?
Teacher/Staff appreciation week is coming up May 6th-10th, and we are seeking a LEAD to organize some special activities, treats, and catered meal. We already have a committee of excellent helping hands but need a coordinator for events.
PTA will consult with the lead about budget and past events- you are not all alone! Please contact Molly Jones at edsupport@beverlyclearyschool.
After-School Enrichments *NEW*
It's time to sign up for spring after-school classes! We have new classes this term, like electronic music, and the return of the usual favorites in music, movement, art, robotics and more, which will include new projects for returning students. Scholarships available.
Annual PPS Clothing Drive *NEW*
Between April 3rd and 10th, BCS will be collecting donations of NEW socks, underwear, gloves and winter hats - sizes 4T to adult - to benefit the PPS Clothing Center. More than 2,000 students in need across the district turn to the Clothing Center every year, and every year the BCS community steps up to ensure that the Clothing Center can provide new socks, hats, gloves and underwear to every student who visits.
Collection bins will be located near the main offices at Fernwood throughout the week, or you will again have the option to send your order straight from Amazon using our Socks & Underwear Drive wishlist (link will be shared SOON).
INCENTIVES:
Day 4 of spirit week (April 4th) is pajama and sock day. Students can bring a donation or amazon receipt to collect for their class. The class with the largest haul will earn a popcorn party and priority parking for their teacher.
If the BCS community collectively donates at least 2,400 pairs of socks, underwear, gloves and hats, students will be able to celebrate with a popsicle party in the spring!
