Support Scott School Food Drive

I’m reaching out on behalf of Scott School and our PTA to ask for your help in spreading the word about an important community effort. Each week, the Portland Backpack Project typically provides food bags to over 100 of our students. Unfortunately, their program is on pause for the month of April, and we’re working hard to fill that gap. With the support of our PTA, Scott School is organizing a food drive to collect non-perishable food donations and recruit volunteers to sort and pack bags for weekly distribution—ensuring students have food to take home over the weekends. We’ve created an Amazon wishlist for those who’d like to order items online and have them shipped directly to the school. For those who prefer to shop locally, donations can be dropped off at the front office during regular school hours (8am-2:30pm). The Portland Backpack Project also has a food buying guide with suggested items that are best suited for packing and distribution.
