McMenamins Kennedy School Friends and Family Night *NEW*
We’re ending the year with a bang! McMenamins Kennedy School is hosting BCS PTA’s Friends and Family Night at their Courtyard restaurant on May 15th from 5pm-11pm. 50% of all dine-in, take-out and wine sales on Wednesday, May 15th will go to the BCS PTA. We look forward to seeing you there!
2024-2025 Draft Budget *NEW*
We encourage you to review the PTA's proposed budget for the 2024-2025 school year. A vote is scheduled on 5/14 to adopt the budget. If you have questions prior to the meeting, please contact PTA Treasurer Marie Westom at treasurer@beverlyclearyschool.org.

ADVOCACY ALERTS *NEW*
School Funding Town Hall
Portland Council PTA, Community & Parents for Public Schools, Families for Equity in Schools, and PAT is hosting an education funding town hall on Monday, May 13th at 6:30pm in the Franklin HS Library with Oregon legislators and candidates.
Free Education Law Workshops
Youth, Rights & Justice Education Attorney Jawan Mullen will host a series of workshops on May 11th and 18th in partnership with the Northeast Community Center teaching what education law is, what rights schools, parents, and students have, and how you can better advocate for the student(s) in your life!

Urban Hiking Chaperones Needed! *REMINDER*
Mr. Lane and his Outdoor Adventures class need YOU! Whether you are a middle school parent or not, they would love to have 1 (or more) adults join them every day, rain or shine, to explore our community. Only 1 volunteer is required to meet the 15:1 student:adult ratio, but please feel free to sign up with a friend.
